Cleone Sayers has been volunteering at Salem Hills Elementary School for three years. A retired teacher, she says she sees it as payback for a profession that has been good to her. But Salem Hills teacher Kelly Goodnature says Mrs. Sayers is the one to be thankful for.

Viktor and his Minnesota Vikings friends taught Pine Bend Elementary School how to "Fuel Up to Play 60." They talked about eating right and exercising. The assembly also featured a special surprise for 5th grade teacher Theresa Bechay.

Angel Fund Helps Families Struggling with Illness, Disaster

The ISD 199 Food Service Angel Fund helps feed students whose families do not qualify for benefits but are struggling financially due to life-altering circumstances, such as unexpected medical bills. A donation of as little as $10 can feed a student in need for a week.
