ISD 199 Gathers Feedback at Information Sessions and Through Online Survey

Posted 10/11/2016

The ISD 199 School Board has requested a team of community members and district staff to review K-12 school start/end times. This request is due to research conducted on the sleep patterns of teens and the impact on student achievement. To gather input, Inver Grove Heights Schools held informational sessions for community and staff on October 3 and 6. It has also scheduled an informational session with an interpreter for interested Spanish speaking families on October 19, 6:00-7:00PM in the Simley High School IMC.

Additionally, the district has sent out a survey to district families and staff as of Monday, October 10, to gather information from anyone unable to attend the informational sessions. Both the English and Spanish versions are available at www.isd199.org along with more information about the School Start/End Time Review and its research. Please click here to access the online survey and information.

The review will take place throughout the fall with a chance for the school board to consider options in November and December. If an option is approved, it will be implemented at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.
