IGHMS Holds Career Day Thanks to Local Professionals
IGHMS Career Day Speaker
Professionals from the community visited Inver Grove Heights Middle School 8th graders to teach them about their careers during Career Day. Students learned about the daily responsibilities, requirements, and benefits of different jobs. Students heard presentations about careers such as attorney, nurse, accountant, biomedical engineer, cosmetology educator, pharmacist, business systems analyst, and many other to give them an idea of all the career paths available and what they needed to get them someday.

Thank you to all of the local professionals who shared their insight and made Career Day possible!

 IGH Flyer Distribution

Community groups and non-profits within ISD 199 offer many meaningful enrichment activities and events throughout the year. Many of these groups ask to share information with our students and families. These requests generate a high volume of printed flyers.

In order to continue to share information, but reduce the number of unsolicited flyers sent home to families, ISD 199 has created a Distribution of Materials online review process. ISD 199 does not endorse or sponsor these activities. This information is provided as a community service.

Online posting conserves resources and saves costs for both the District and the community groups and organizations. Elementary students may still bring home flyers from district-sponsored events.

The online flyers will be posted on the elementary, middle or high school page(s) as requested by the community organization. Approved flyers will be posted in PDF format and can be viewed on any device or printed at any time.
ISD 199 is not responsible for any incorrect information on the flyer. The District reserves the right to reject, discontinue, or retract any online flyer postings that do not meet ISD 199 requirements.
